From ‘The Invisible Man’ (2020)/Universal Pictures/Blum House
This past week, Destination 180 reviews the 2020 film The Invisible Man. Click play below.
The Invisible Man was a 2020 hit.
It was one of the first movies that we tackled in the beginning of quarantine. I was immediately drawn in from the rather quiet introduction. Even through silence, you could feel the tension as Cecilia, played by Elisabeth Moss, runs away from her abusive partner.
IMDB describes the film as, “When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.”
It’s rated at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.1/10 on IMDB. I gave it a comfortable 85% but enjoyed watching it.
Don’t skip Upgrade.
We had also tapped into Upgrade, a previous film by famed-director, Leigh Whannell. It’s a great intro (or continuation, depending on which one you watch first) of Whannell’s style and it serves as more evidence to his genius.
Thank you Destination 180!
Really appreciate the feature. Horror fans, if you’re looking for a great place to keep up with your horror films make sure you stay in tune with them.
